The Musical Clock at the house Sartëur
The carillon at the house Sartëur in Selva di Val Gardena is a beloved local landmark and a highlight for many visitors. The melodies are triggered by a radio-controlled clock, ensuring that the bells ring daily at fixed times. Many guests make a point of gathering in the village square to experience it.

Fourteen Bronze Bells Over the Square
In summer, fourteen bronze bells ring out over the village square every day at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. In winter, the evening performance begins slightly earlier, at 5 p.m. Installed in 2002, the carillon has become a distinctive symbol of the house Sartëur and the village itself. There is no ticket or reservation required—simply stop, listen, and enjoy the moment.

Hand-Carved Figures from Val Gardena
As the bells play, four wooden figures begin to turn: three male musicians with a violin, a drum, and a lute, and a female figure playing the flute. Each figure is hand-carved by local artisans and moves around the building’s bay window. Every piece is unique, reflecting the rich tradition of woodcarving craftsmanship that Val Gardena is known for.
